A Maverick IS NOT a Mossberg 500 or 590 or 835 or 930 or 935... It is a Mossberg Maverick 88. Pretty much every company has entry level models that should not be compared to the full price model. Snobby Much???

I think that it is most important to ask the Maverick whether or not it feels like a Mossberg. Sure, it may have all of (or none of) the outward signs of being a Mossberg but if it doesn't self identify as a Mossberg who are we tell it that it's maker stamped it as a Mossberg?

Through major surgery you could make it a Mossberg, and it may be covered under Obamacare.
