Have fun. Another 170k and that vehicle won't be fit to grow potatoes in. Mean while I'm still running down the road......Just sayin

If it doesn’t last another 80k miles it was only $20k to begin with. Rebuild the motor and away we go.

OP do the repairs, that truck is built better than anything being built since 2019.

2 ways to look at the situation. Get a new one put 40-50k miles on it and trade it in for a new payment. Or fix ol trusty for 7k get 4-5 more years out of it fix again and repeat.

The question is, do you want to spend that money or have a monthly payment? If you get 2% interest on the loan it’s not costing you much to use their money and the truck is under warranty. But you’ll probably have it in the shop alot

Yep, either way you need a spare to drive
