A newer truck

I really liked the looks of the new Colorado and Canyon but as soon as I found out the headlights and fog lights are controlled through the radio, that was a hard pass from me.
Yea and $1700 tail lights that have to programmed through the computer. And they go out if they get wet........ Not this model, full size Ford and GM I think

Tell me more about that Ram truck. Diesel? And the trans
I was talking about their 1/2 tons, the twin turbo hurricane inline 6, they have been using the ZF 8 speed since 2013 and it has been pretty solid. The engine has had a couple of teething issues but nothing glaring like Toyota at the moment. I think the biggest issue they are having is some electrical issues with the new architecture. They did bring back the 5.7 not a perfect engine but it is older tech. And of course the 3.6 has been around for a while.

The tacoma now comes with a v4 turbo instead of a 6 cylinder, so I don't know if those are any good?
I was waiting for the new 24 Tacoma to come out but when they said they were dropping the 6cly and going to the smaller engine with turbo's I went ahead and got the new 23 Tacoma Dec of 23, Glad I did. Awesome truck

The old saying “there is no replacement for displacement”. This EPA BS to push for lower emissions and more mpg’s is retarded. The auto industry doesn’t want cars to last like the old ones. New cars sells are way down. When a basic model is $30k and car payments are more than your mortgage. Something wrong with that
Basic work trucks are closer to 40K than 30 these days, I think I read something that the average new truck price these days is 60K

Keep an eye on the timing chain cover (leaking) and the coolant pipe on the rear of the engine for pink coolant crust. Couple of known weak spots with them that is a bit of a pricey fix when they are out of warranty. (I've owned 2 of that generation). Otherwise fun little trucks.

You better believe it!!! Heck, a new truck is more than I paid for my last house

You pay xxx number of dollars for a new truck because you like all of the features. The truth is after a trial period you find out that some features don’t work without a monthly subscription. 20 to 30 bucks a month. Years ago BMW had their system where if you didn’t pay your heated sears stopped working. Enough people raised hell that BMW reversed themselfs and let the seats work without a subscription. Seems like I read lately that GM will no longer offer Apple play/car play through their vehicles
