Abu c3 4600 vs 5500

It is raining and I'm bored, so I want to buy a rod and reel. Grew up fishing with my dad and granddad's ambassador reels, but I don't remember which size. I've got plenty of freshwater gear, so I want something I can catch trout and redfish with, but I will probably bass fish with it as well. I'm thinking the 5500 with a seven foot medium action rod, but I would rather go with the smaller reel if it would work for me. I'm also open to other abu round reels if there is a better choice, but I want to stick with them for nostalgic reasons.

Just to close out this thread. I obsessed over reels the whole time it was raining. I ended up buying a Daiwa Luna 203. I really like it, but it was definitely the most I have ever spent on a reel. Still, it is a beast, and I am sure I will get my money's worth over the long haul.
