Academy Checks ID For Ammo Sales

Heck, it was a felony to have ammo, or guns, or an air rifle outside your home in MA back in the late 70s unless you had your Firearms ID card on you.

The poster child for this was a guy who got sent to Walpole, the toughest state prison in MA, for 5 years because the staties found a 22 case, not a round, just an empty case in his trunk.

He had a FID card, but left it at home because he wasn't travelling with firearms. Didn't matter... 5 years mandatory.

Technically all gun stores are suppose to ID for ammo sales I thinkz

I did get asked for my ID when I bought an hand guard for my AR. I thought that was strange.
Yeah WAY back around 89/90 when I worked at a Rose's in Macon we checked ID for ammo. But I think it was company policy and not state or local law.
