Where would you be sitting the first week in October? Seems my soft mass ( muscadines) are played out although they were productive at first.

I do the white oaks first, When the acorns play out, it's on to the food plot...DD

Sit over a pile of corn, it works for me.
Consider the persimmon trees, good for game and are a natural food source........

I hunt white oaks and persimmons, Like my wife the Persimmons did not put out this year!! But I still have the Oaks for a backup...DD

My persimmons are almost played out as well as the muscadines. If your acorn crop is like mine this year, hardly any in the trees, that would dictate where I was.
If you have a good crop, hunt the reds or whites if they're dropping. If it's poor, hunt what acorns you can find dropping. If there are none, have seen that in a couple of locations, hunt inside the tree line near a food plot.
