Had a great day training with ATS in North Ga. The instructors were knowledgeable, adaptable, and very helpful on tips and techniques. There were no egos with this group, just a true desire to help people reach new levels in tactics. Great class!

That’s good to hear, but quite frankly surprising!!! I’ve been to their training site up in Blairsville but was not impressed with their tactics or abilities. The shoot house / range is awesome. Just not really impressed with skill sets (watch their videos / photos).

Was this your first experience with tactical training ?

No. Not first class at all. I’ve been to many different training classes from CQB to advanced pistol. I’ll be transparent. I went to a WPS class a couple years ago and felt like two of the three instructors were there just to show off. I received NO constructive criticism to improve anything. That’s not what I pay for. I can watch that on YouTube for free. Those classes tend to receive raving reviews. I think it is more because people leave those classes believing they’ve been taught by John Wicks or some gunfighter. I’d rather receive good solid basic foundation drills and tactics, then build on them. Especially from people that don’t have giant egos.

Yep, not a fan of WPS either. In fact, I worked with the “founder” when he still lived/worked in Brunswick GA at the Telluric Group. And when I say worked, I mean explaining current CQB concepts not what they were doing which was late 80’s style CQB. I’m up in Ellijay and offer courses in firearms / tactics /etc would love to get together sometime. Arrogance and Incompetence is the real A/I danger!

Don’t want to “hijack” the thread…nor speak too ill of other training resources….. just be sure to check LEGITIMATE credentials first. Not: I took this class, I took that class, or I did this in the military 20 years ago.

If anyone reading this wants CQB training I would love to discuss your needs/wants. I don’t have a brick and mortar location, but you’ll be hard pressed to find someone better in GA
