Advise Needed: Zero Turn Mowers. 48”-52”. What Do You Recommend?

Cut a 22 acre campus in middle Ga for retirement fun. They had Scags when they asked me to work. The Scags were old and eventually the state said we could get new mowers. We got Exmarks, liked them a little better, just as tough as the Scags.
Would go with either.

I’ve been real happy with these.
48-52, you won’t even notice the difference other that gates.

Big dog or Hustler (made on same line). I have a 48" that has been used hard and still running like a top. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten the Big Dog Blackjack version just for ease of maintenance.

I’m going into the 6th cutting season with my kubota 42” deck with Kawasaki motor. It is a 48” deck considered their “estate” line. Not quite the expense or quality as a commercial but beefier than a residential line. Welded deck, hydro motors with filters, etc. I generally put approximately 6 hours a week on it from mid March to mid October and then cut leaves once or twice between December and January. If I’m not mistaken the Hobbs shows almost 900 hours on it. I change oil, oil filter, air filters, and spark plugs once a year. I’ll usually sharpen/replace blades and also scrape the deck twice a year. Knock on wood I haven’t had any issues.
I wouldn’t hesitate considering another kubota.

Cut the 1/2 acre of heavily wooded area down behind the house and built a new deck. With that hill and bottom area I caved and bought a new Scag last year. Tough as nails, cuts that hill like a champ and can’t say enough about the Vanguard. Keep it clean and maintained and it will last you a lifetime. Exmark would be my other choice, but the Velocity deck is hands down the best for thick and wet grass. I can confidently say this as we mowed ~80 acres once a week using both commercial models.
