How do yall think this weekend will be for hunting. Lots of acorns on the ground on my property.

Yeah all the acorns on the ground now has me a little worried about later in the season. I remember something similar happening after Sandy. It made hunting a little tougher later in November because all of the acorns fell so early.

I'm worried about the acorns already being on the ground and I'm hesitant to climb this weekend. Might be a good weekend to borrow the crossbow and set up on the ground.

I'm glad a lot of acorns are down now.. Will make them forage later and hit food plots as well.

All the deer I've seen are still keeping their patterns.

4:30 movement and last light fast travel.
Some stragglers here and there and a lot of notcturnal feeding especially with moonlight.
4:30 am seems to be happy hour.

Plentiful acorns don't bother me....just makes me want to get on the stand more often.
Gonna try my luck tag teaming a fast travel route with my buddy this evening.

My buddy got a used Barnett x bow for $275 at timberghost.
He may sell once they fix his ten point.

I hunted this morning. Saw 5 does but was unable to get a clear shot. I'll be back in the morning for another crack at them.

Went out tonight.
Didn't think I'd see any because there was literally No wind at all plus machinery running and people yapping where they've been crossing over towards my kill zone.
I set my buddy up in a tree to cover the escape Route intersection but no luck there either.
Bet they'll be moving in the morning.
