Yep, his insurance paid him. If he got his old phone back he's supposed to return his insurance settlement....why not just let you keep the old one and have it unlocked?

Sorry it was late when I posted that ....won't seeHe want ?
so what did the guy who you knew say when you told him his friends phone you bought was stolen and you'd like your money back? i don't think in this whole thread, it was once mentioned the responses of the people you bought the phone from when asked for your money back.....or maybe i missed reading that part?
and original owner says he wants to pay you, but he's already got a new phone. why not just let you keep the old one and have it unlocked?
ill keep that in mind... what is the relevance of this again??
Your friend that put you in contact with him not give his name up? Bet he would if cops and possible theft charges were out thereIf I went to the cops and made a report that a black guy sold me a stolen phone? That's like saying a white guy sold me a stolen phone. No real information that would help them. I doubt the guy that I know will fork up his information. I have a feeling they were in it together.

I really hate to be "that guy" (especially since I suspect you are a really nice guy) but at some point, this is all on you.I never made it clear that I wanted my money back, I did make it clear that the phone they sold me was useless but all he said was he didn't know that it was a bad phone. I figured by that response, they not giving any money back.
