The Lightening Bolt is probably the best known product of this type on the market. It usually goes for about $275, so your price point seems like it could make a dent for certain.

For me, it's about demand. I'm not sure how it would stack up. I shoot AK's and I wouldn't be interested. Not trying to be a jerk just saying that it's not something I've felt like I needed.

Best of luck to you though if you go through with it. It could be a big money maker, I honestly don't have a clue.

Good feedback, Thanks!

What would the drop in kit contain ? I'm left handed, so might be an interesting option for those who're 'conventional' in their gun handling but want to be be able to revert back to stock if selling, but then you come down to price again.

Around $175.00 depending on how many we produce at one time.
at that price point im sure there would be quite a few buyers

i know alot of folks with ak47s. while the demand isnt that high the "for the hell of it" factor might play in, alot of guys like unique stuff and if someone owns 5 ak47s they might just wanna do it

I like it on this rifle in the pics. Do you see it working with under folders? To be honest though I would like a Galil style charging handle on the original right side. That's the kind with the handle bent upwards 90 degrees to clear the action cover.

Thinking about offering a carrier with the left side handle attached and a modified dust cover. This set up would most likely push the 200-220 price range.

I started off with the bent handle when i first modified this AK. When I put the rail over the dust cover, my left arm kept hitting the red dot when I would chamber a round. When I put the left side handle on it, it almost became natural when charging the rifle. I can now drop, reload, and chamber a round without taking my eye off the target or removing the stock from my shoulder!

Great question about the under folders! I do not have an answer, but this is the feedback I am looking for. Now I have to go buy one:doh:.
looks like the Wife gets another pair of shoes as a forgiveness gift.
