It does. No kit but I do have a few... it is not mine... is it worth 60$? I haven't a clue.

I did that back in 97 ot 98 after installing correct Chinese wood on my Mak 90. While drinking Scotch I took a saw a wood rasp and sanding blocks to the old thumb hole wood. So you were right about the little skill part.
