To all my fellow my fellow RBGC members --

I want to call your attention to the April Bullet-IN newsletter -- specifically the Annual Director (board member) election.

Luke Crawford is running for the open seat. I shoot with Luke and help RO the Precision Rifle Match he runs at River Bend. Luke has some GREAT goals for the growth of the club like advocating for the 1000 yard rifle range, and expanding archery range. This would be one of the most easily accessible 1000yd ranges in the state, and certainly the most accessible to metro ATL and north GA.

If you're a member, be sure to show up and vote for Luke at the annual meeting, or review and understand how to submit a proxy vote on his behalf.

The current RBGC President, who attempted to shut down USPSA and has opposed building a 1,000-yard range, has already endorsed my opposition.

It doesn't tend to be emphasized, but the sponsorships are - to be blunt - really intended to be a way of making sure your conduct and behavior on the range are appropriate.

Attendance at something like the "100 Yard Rifle Clinic" that Ben Franklin runs are perfect for this, and typically you'll meet over a dozen people of widely varying experience, and have a load of fun.

Just turn up and make sure Ben or one of his team knows that you'll be looking for sponsors.

If I was a member I would vote for Luke in a heartbeat! If he wins id be much more interested in becoming a member God willing my schedule allows me to be able to go up there more in the future.

What kind of shooting you do? Matches are the best way to get 2 member endorsements. It is all about confirmation you are safe on the range so 2 members will need to see you shoot.
