Ammo shortage in Ga!!!

I see a bit of irony here...

LOL. No irony, not a prepper or a hoarder just had about 100 rounds left of useful stuff (I also had some stuff that wouldn't cycle) and a great deal came my way. I could have bought thousands of rounds on the second most recent purchase but I left some for everyone else.

A typical outing for me would be 500 rds of 22
If I do that weekly 2k a month is quite realistic.
Lately I have slowed that down....only due to inability to swing by just any store and grab a brick.
Time to break out single shots and revolvers. ;)

So what sort of stock of 22lr would you need to support your normal habit? A buddy of mine usually keeps about 5,000 rounds of 22LR, which doesn't seem like a lot to me. Hmm, maybe I am part of the problem. :D

Well thats the thing, I have never really 'stocked up' over my life. I just shoot for fun. I am not looking to survive Armageddon. So, in the past I have kept a couple bricks on hand, and just swung by the typical store for one when I wanted to shoot. Recently when some came available at a decent price I 'hoarded' about 5-8k rounds to hold me for a little while and slowed down my shooting pace. But I'd rather just buy bricks as I shoot. A relative of mine keeps 15-20k rds of 22 most of time. If I get desperate I'll steal some from them! :D
At this time I dont find it difficult to get center fire ammo, just 22 at decent prices.
One online seller has some listed today for $149 a brick of 500 hahahahahahahaha eff that!

I guess 20K rounds sounds like a lot initially but if you got it at 3cents/round that's $600 and $800 at 4 cents/round. If you had the money and you got it for a good deal why not, as long as you have a good way and place to store it. I'm sure that people co-op buy ammo too.

I wish I had relative like yours. My brother disowned me for my gun ownership. His name is Dick. :D
