Hey there fellow member. So do you own a 5.7×28? I wonder what the purpose of this round is because it's not that much smaller than the NATO 5.56. I guess I can see it in a pistols but it seems the grip would be awkwardly long ( from front and end grip to the palm swell ). Does it make for a nice handgun?

Gotta be a “crowd displeasure” if ever caught in that situation. Been thinking about trying out a Ruger 57 since the price drop. For $350 , i could trade it in if I didn’t like it. JustMy2cents

Just noticed this article. Perhaps 5.7 works out of a handgun.
I bought a gen1 5.7 upper for my AR years ago when they first became available. 50 round mag sits on top of the barrel. Fired cases eject downward through the mag well, so you can strip the guts out of a 30 rd AR mag, insert it, and it will catch your fired cases. Cool for reloaders, but I like it because you're not skating on cases if you move around. Trying to justify in my mind a 12" bbl upper for a truck gun pistol build.
