Last week I went to CMP Talladega for the first time. What a treat that place is. I took two 600 yrd rifles to try out on their electronic scoring stations.
I ended up buying my first M1 Garand while I was there. Got some help zeroing the rear sight for 200 yds and it is dead on. Very happy with this rifle.
Yesterday I field stripped it, lubed it up (thanks Brownell's You Tube videos) and put it back together. The rifle was very clean inside, but was without really any grease or lube I could see.
Here's a few pics (or it didn't happen.) Waiting to take it out again to CMP.
