Woodchucks, GroundPigs and GroundHogs are derogatory terms created by the over privledged, white, Christian man to hold down the "Marmota Monax" In the mid 80s crack cocaine was introduced into the natural habitat of the Monax by the CIA creating a violent, drug war between themselves and other marmots. This led to the other Marmots habitating higher, rocky terrain, while the Monax settled into densely populated tunnels in the lowlands. To this day the Monax is viewed as a nuisance and trouble maker, and some believe they are more likely to be targeted for their crimes against nature than their lighter skinned, mountain-dwelling cousins.
