Another ammo price rant.

I’m one of the guys that has sat on thousands of rounds in multiple calibers. Stop buying...never. I’ve been working so much that it really doesn’t matter what the price is, business has been great. If I feel like picking up a few thousand rounds at a high price, well that’s why I work a lot. It doesn’t bother me that someone is making $ off me. I’d shoot more if I had more free time.
I do it because the few friends I have ask me too! I am u twin , work way to much! I have the new 6mm ARC. And a few thousand rounds for it and not shot it one time! But I am in the tree now , saw 17 yesterday (and chasing tooo)a ton of turkeys! So blessed to be here (proof only the good die young) come on rain. Love this life, that I am not worthy of!!!! Wild Bill

Yup, I’ve been through hell, have plenty I could harbor anger and resentment about, but life is really really good and to short for the negative stuff! Thank You God for getting me where I am today!!

I am at the hunting property but if my memory serves me right I had 4000 delivered this week and I think they are $360 for 400 that includes shipping not going to break them up sell the whole 400 at one time that way I only have to deal with one sale! If you can find it cheaper than that I don’t need to hear about it I could care less that’s what I have that’s what the offer is have a wonderful Friday I’ll be in the woods but I can receive text message. Thanks
What’s your address...I’ll go check for you and make sure they are all still there.

you can call it flipping..but if someone(not me,i have what i need and thats it) picked up 556 at .30 a round.good on them. if at this time its 1.00 a round everywhere,i think that them selling it to ODTR'S for .60 to.75 a round is kind of them. you could have stocked up as well and the could get a buck a round at a gun show......
also ammo prices have gone up,a friend who owns a gun store was quoted 98 bucks a box on 3030 from a supplier.
in the 70's gas went from .36 per gal to about 1.19 per gallon.
when things run out or the supply chain is overwhelmed, prices go up.
they cant force you to buy,but you should thank them when they sell to you. after all, ammo is worth billions per round if you need it to protect your family...
put a price on love, then subtract that from what you pay. you will see it was worth it..if its not, reevaluate your life... or dont, its free to rant...
I miss the 70 . Class of 1974! Life is different! Mon and dad could not prepare us for it!

Well, alrighty then, those folks that only bought the ammo they needed for the magazine, cylinder, range trip, or hunt, well, ya should've bought extra at those pieces. I did and I stashed it and fondled it, kept it warm, Dry, made promises of matches and battles to come. So, now, years later after prices went to hell in a handbasket, nd I raised it lovingly, ya want me to sell it for whut I paid, I don't think so, if I had to replace it, it'd be at todays inflated prices, SO, foresight good for me, and hindsight hurts the wallet,

I'm up in Nashville and you'd think that they were making projectiles out of solid gold!! You can tell by the listings on Armslist (no ODT here dammit!!) what Academy sports had delivered that day due to the influx of 3 box lots for sale at a ridiculous price, or a bulk pack that's jacked up too. Who ever thought that steel case 9mm would be 60c per round and 22lr is going for almost a quarter each. Look at the auctions at Gun Broker!!! people are gladly paying ridiculous prices. I won't even get into how much primers are going for!!! (Yeah I will; $150 per thousand - minimum.)
I have been preparing since after Sandy Hook in 2012 (December 14) and went through that Pmag, parts and ammo grab. I'll admit, I did pretty well during that time but I was always fair with every deal.
I have to agree with the free market and capitalism as well as the buyer being aware. No one is making anyone purchase at inflated prices and no one should judge anyone for charging what they want for their products. It takes at least 2 people to make a deal and if neither objects, who are we to criticize anyone for selling at any price?
If you're not going to buy it or make an offer on it - mind your business!
If the free market and capitalism fail we will all be waiting in line not only for ammo but toilet paper, bread, food, gas, or anything else we need for our daily lives. Enjoy what we have and unless someone is doing something illegal, immoral or unethical, let it be. We all grown here - LOL
I didn't mean to get on a soapbox but damn... Enjoy the rights that we have to complain about whatever we want to without repercussions (for the most part).
I guess the moral of the story is live and let live but common sense should tell you not to pay for a Porsche and drive away in a Yugo.

@rawbone I want to give a shout out to Rawbone. I posted/begged on here that I needed 7mm 08 ammo because I had bought a Ruger 77 and didn't have any ammo. He contacted me and sold me 2 boxes for normal price. Said it was Christmas time!! Some great guys on here!!

My only gripe with the, "Should have bought when it was cheap" crowd is that is obviously not the group of individuals that train on any type of regular basis. Or they'll go to their backyard, shoot a 12 pack of soda cans off a log, and consider themselves "up to snuff"

I hate the ammo prices, but I understand that's the way it is for right now. But I don't want to be told I shouldn't still be buying ammo when I'm regularly working to be more proficient while Cap'n Fudd has been sitting on the same can of 1000 rounds since 2015.
Wrong. I bought a lot because I train a lot.
