Hayata - just realized that, in both pictures above of my deck railing, I had the phone/camera flash on. New pic below, showing this morning's daylight photo so you can see that it is not as bright/orangish as the first two pics showed. This image shows the more realistic color. Of course, colors will vary from display to display. Hope this helps.

Really diggin' on that color...the contrasting black metal rails really sets it off nicely!

Took on a real "bogie" today at my lakehouse for barrel break-in and preliminary sighting in of 4x32 ACOG, RMR, and irons, all at 30 yards until I can get some real range time at 100 yards or more.

Shots fired...
#1 - function/check, empty mag hold, check ACOG hit and adjust, decrease gas to action, allow barrel to cool, then clean.

#2 and #3 - function/check/cycle, empty mag hold, check ACOG hit and adjust, decrease gas to action, allow barrel to cool, then clean.

#4, #5, and #6 - function/check/cycle, empty mag didn't hold, slight increase in gas to action, check ACOG hit and adjust, allow barrel to cool, then clean. Noticed spent cartridge striking folded rear Battlesight as gas pressure adjusted and subsequent change in cartridge ejection. Moved rear Battlesight up one notch on rail.

#7, #8, and #9 - function/check/cycle, empty mag holding, check ACOG hit and adjust, allow barrel to cool, then clean. Gas acceptable, minimum recoil, no longer striking folded BUIS, spent cartridge ejection at 2 o'clock or so.

#10, #11, and #12 - function/check/cycle, empty mag hold, check ACOG hit and adjust, allow barrel to cool, then clean - ACOG on and repeatable.

#13 - #17 - check RMR hit and adjust, allow barrel to cool, then clean.

#18 - #22 - check RMR hit and adjust, allow barrel to cool, then clean - RMR on and repeatable.

#23 - #32 - check Battlesights hit and adjust, allow barrel to cool, then clean.

#33- #42 - check Battlesights hit and adjust, allow barrel to cool, then clean - Battlesights on and repeatable.

#43 - #50 - random sight/optic check okay, allow barrel to cool, then clean.

Total of 50 rounds fired, 10 cleanings and re-lube. Extremely pleased with performance of all parts, especially the mid-length adjustable gas. No failures of any kind other than self-induced gas adjustment related. Like the feel and soft pull of the LaRue MBT. Next stop will be at a longer distance.

My new favorite Mega Arms build.

Not 100% sure if that exact lower still exist but Zev acquired Mega, I would check to see if they have the same lower now just with a Zev roll mark.

Thanks, it seems like a cool place so far, very free moving unlike some other forums which make you jump through hoops to make a first post.

From what I could tell they did not, they changed the looks of em I believe. I know there's a 3 letter named surplus store that starts with a J and they have some rebranded GTR-3H but I need ambi since I'm sick with the left handed disorder , I do know EARLY Grey Ghost Precision is where the Mega Arms staff flocked to and their early guns were 1:1 with Mega, even down to anodizing but those are just as hard to find as Mega from what I can tell. I've put SO much effort into trying to find a GTR-3H Ambi with Mega's name on it.

For full ambi, you might take a look at Radian and ADM too.

I'm trying to mate it with a Mega Arms Megalithic, I got a CMT Tactical that actually looks decent on there, but it feels wrong not having a complete Mega rifle.

Here's the thing in question, I'll catch some flack probably for my choice of accessories but I'm still feeling out what is a novelty item and what is actually worthy, I'm doing so at the expense of my own money lmao. I think I got me some undiagnosed OCD because it bothers the heck out of me that it's not a complete Mega rifle lmao.
