I was talkin about that 700k mile truckHad to be the old style pushrod 5.0/ 302. Years ago at the junk yard the 5.0 Fox body guys would be all over an Explorer with V8 badges trying to get at them " GT 40 Heads". But by the time they could find a machine shop to work them over they could have bought new heads from Summit.
Exploders.......LOL, that was funny. On 5L, WOW. Well I do know of a Lincoln Town Car with over 1 million milesgot it wrong 1996 rear wheel drive w/towing package. The 5.0 v8. I guess that was the first year they did the 5.0 in the Exploders.

I think he got it summer of '96 brand new. Loaded it, my mom, my brother, the German Shephard and the pull behind camper. Picked me up from Rainey Mountain Boy Scout Camp(I was teaching wilderness survival that year) and we road tripped to Alaska.Exploders.......LOL, that was funny. On 5L, WOW. Without reading back through all this if it was an F150 it has to be the 300 inline 6.I was talkin about that 700k mile truck
LOL, love that drinking problem. Well I know the Z71s were/are great trucks when they first came out. Good for 400k anyway. I have no idea about the current ones. We'll see those older ones are where it's at. My landlord has a really ugly repaint peeling emerald green GMC Z71 or whatever that will pull anything including his big ass Airstream. However...that same truck WILL hurt your feelings at the gas pump. That damn truck got a drinkin' problem!
Well it sounds like a great memoryI think he got it summer of '96 brand new. Loaded it, my mom, my brother, the German Shephard and the pull behind camper. Picked me up from Rainey Mountain Boy Scout Camp(I was teaching wilderness survival that year) and we road tripped to Alaska.
We had to leave like 40 lbs of fireworks at the border and come back through the same border on the way back! Was the last "family" road trip.
Yeah, it was good times. Canada's Northwest Territory is beautiful. Whitehorse specifically was a cool ass northern town.Well it sounds like a great memory
