I just did another Marlin 60 and he wanted to keep it blond. So blond it is. It came out real nice. But light! So now he wants me to massage his old Stevens pump 12 guage. It has a beautiful tiger stripe stock on it and that should come out really nice I'll post pics when it's done.

This one turned out looking like brand new I'll post some pre-refinished pics in the next post.

I did one about a year ago. It was a rust bucket before I started.
It turned out pretty good.

He wanted the raffle and the ticket costing $10. When he got the gun he was kind of disappointed that it was in the shape it was in. Now he's tickled pink says it's the best $10 he ever spent. He immediately gave me the Steven's model 77H. I already have the barrel and receiver sanded down. I just need to go get some more sand paper. I got all the old blue off I just need to prep the surface for the first coat of blue which installs Smoothing it out with finer paper and rub it down with acetone. 100% acetone not fingernail polish. LOL A trip to the hardware store is needed.

The Glenfield up top there well the Marlin 60 rather you can see the pic that has all that crap on the firing mechanism. It was filthy and it made the trigger real gritty and hard to pull so I took that crap all apart and scrubbed and sprayed off everything with parts cleaner and then put it back together and gave it a shot of WD-40. I measured the trigger pull before I started and it was 6 lb and I measured it after I got done and it went down to three and a half. Just cleaning out that fire control mechanism. But that's what's to be expected from a semi-automatic blowback gun that's probably never been cleaned which in this case I can believe. But he was all over that blonde wood color said no one would have another one like it so he wanted to keep it that way. But this Steven shotgun has a lot better wood on it has real nice tiger striped grain in it when I get done putting a shiny on it it look real good.

I just brought my cousins Mohawk 600 back to life. Should have taken before and after pics. Refinish and glass bed the action. Strip and clean about 30 years of neglect out the bolt. Stripped the barrel and action and cold blued with Oxpho Blue. Cut and Hand fit an EGW rail for a Model 7 - old see thru mounts went to the garbage - mounted and bore sighted a LNIB Weaver Classic(Japanese/LOW) 4x - told him he should be good until death.
