My current system is a Payne 13 SEER Heat pump that's about 11yrs old.

There is a very broad range depending on budget and duct set up. But that's about the extent of my knowledge with it.

It is my understanding that an A/C unit costs about $1000 per ton approx. I would avoid paying any extra money for a name brand. Whatever you buy will come with a warranty on parts. Hope that helps

I've heard the same about armana (however you spell it). But ours has been working well for about 8 or 10 years now
