Ok. Since everyone is dying to know. I picked up a 2008 ZX6R not too long ago (because I needed another bike like I need genital warts). I noticed on Thursday and yesterday evening that I'm getting a burning rubber smell coming from the exhaust while at idle. No smoke, a little water vapor on cold start in the humidity.
Have you made sure there is nothing touching it anywhere?
Or Maybe a new exhaust and making smells that come across as rubber to you?
