My wife drives a 2011 Civic Si sedan. We Bought it brand spanking new. Bone stock right now. She won't part with it for anything.
My daily ride, because if gets much better mileage than my f-350, is a 97 Honda Accord we bought as a two year old. It is an energizer bunny of a car. Ownership cost per mile is approaching zero. We did scheduled maintenance but have had to do almost nothing else. I'm not cheap, I'm thrifty. Not sure what Honda is building now, but this is a great little car.
I love Hondas, especially older ones for their reliability.
As for performance, I cannot stand driving higher HP front wheel drive.
Also, I saw a 4 door, 4wd Tundra keep right up with a new SI Civic. Didn't out run it, but the Civic couldnt out run the truck either. It was a perfectly matched race! Lol
One of my guys at work has a "tuned" Civic like that (4 door), and he lost to another guys stock 4 door Hemi Ram.

I agree, I just run 3k halogen lows at night for now.
But... About your F-150... Are you sure you would pull "easy" on this Civic. Lol let's talk whp & power to weight ratio first lol.
