If you can make it to Bladeshow, there are several experts on site that can probably tell you more than you want to know about it.

It appears to be a wakizashi. The last picture would be the name of the manufacturer of the sword imprinted on the tang under the handle. Find out whose maker's mark that is and it will tell you a lot about the sword. Past that, I've got nothing.
