2 issues .
1. I intend to get an Uzi, so elimination of different mags. Uzi mags and reasonably cheap and readily available. Sam ( the Gunsmith) does great work and I have never heard anyone regret or complain about either him or the conversion.
2. I would say over 50% of the M10 Mags I have purchased don't function out of the box. They generally sit too high and the bolt slams into the back of the feed lips. I basically have 2 choices, lower the mag retention mechanism in the gun, or the mag. Either way, its a pain is the ass and new M10 double stacks are about $35 each.
Interesting one of my regrets was selling my M11/9 i purchased for $500. from Bryan Prichard. I had a Sten conversion done to that one as the Zytel mags are not great, I have a Sten and you can use 50 round Lanchester mags. I had to sell it to pay for my son's college tuition (for $6000). I should have told him to take out a loan since they will all be forgiven now
