They all add on various fees. My approach is decide what I want to pay, add on the AV tax, and say that's my out-the-door number. They can split it up and call it whatever they want.

If you want to save money on a car You gotta get out of Atlanta
Got my current ride in hickory NC on eBay
My brother got one of his cars in VA
And another in Alabama
His wife got hers in SC

Got my sons truck from AZ

Still looking for
Yukon XL SLT or Denali
Suburban LTZ

Found a couple of 2013 ones with 71000 miles and the other had 88000. Both with cracked dashes and the dealer still wanted top dollar!

Were these new cars?

No

One of my brothers needs tax write offs for his small business and he buys brand new vehicles
But my other brother and I have never purchased a brand new vehicle

I usually buy a 7-8 yr old well maintained vehicle at an auction for 1/10 of what it cost new

Although now that the late model cars are so needlessly complex and impossible to repair, I see no need to get something I can’t maintain or repair

I think the sweet spot for vehicles is late 80s to mid 90s

Say , 88-91 ~96. After that they start getting more computers than the space shuttle and Every part on it is made from plastic that fails prematurely

But the same applies to new cars , or it used to a few years ago

When my wife and I were shopping we briefly looked at new cars
We needed a family truckster and considered an expedition , looked at some new ones and then discovered that a crew cab pickup was a lot less money than the suv version , and could be had with a manual transmission, And while in the new car shopping mode we visited some family in Mobile Alabama and noticed that the pickups in Mobile were about $10k less than the EXACT same vehicle in Atlanta

I like the way you think!

I’ve also noticed that trucks are insane around here.

If I ever spend 50k for a truck, please just shoot me. In the face. Twice

Or $70000 for a new Suburban. Indicator of being over priced in the first place? After 5yrs it's worth $20000 - $24000!
