any ODT'ers going to GSSF at Stoddards Friday?

Was very impressed with the facilities & also the staff.
I frequent a few dozen gunstores & send a lot of business to just a few of them from students who try out my range guns prior to buying one or two.
After the friendly but professional behavior I witnessed from the guys at Stoddards I would gladly recommend them to my students.

Too many gunstores have employees who posture & puff out their chests partially to hide the fact that they really aren't that proficient & don't even know many of their products that well. Often those types of people (most of us have seen this happen) are arrogant, cocky & even unfriendly to customers. It is a pleasure to meet those who seem to be the exception to that rule.

Seeing how friendly they were to a young teenager gives one an insight into what kind of people they are.

I don't get to get on that side of the firing line too much being in classes so much but it was a lot of fun.
I thought our other shooters did very well since they all are pretty new shooters.

I will be back for sure. In my profession the 500 was expected but the 498 & 493 aren't acceptable.
(Gotta redeem myself....)
Of course the 19 I shot the worst with did have newly installed sights, "I didn't sleep well the night before", "I drank too much caffeine",
" My sinuses are bothering me", "I got my period", etc., etc.
(I may have left a few out other excuses out but I
I'll think of them on the way to the next match.)

if you are talking about jackson of course we are going to be friendly to him that boy can shoot!!! no need for a flyswatter just give that boy a glock and a box of ammo lol. we enjoy having all of yall comming out and having a good time with us because comming from the other side of the counter it makes our night go by so much better!

Our crew is always good for a laugh! Honestly, Jackson beams when you guys greet him like you do and I think it is awesome....The kids is gifted, he just doesn't realize it yet and that is one of the reasons why I bring him...He is so excited the day of the shoot and as his confidence grows, he begins to see his potential...I feel certain that he will be outshooting me before long!

Had a great time at Stoddard's last night. Kinda of a long drive from Dalton, but well worth it. A great facility with very helpful and patient staff. First time shooting a GSSF event, and certainly will not be the last! Would highly recommend this event at Stoddard's to everyone.

Thanks to the staff at Stoddards for being good ambassadors for the sport.

On a regular basis I get many students who have never fired a gun in their life. I feel that it is crucial to make that first exposure a good one.
That first experience for "non-gun people", not only shooting but also just being around "gun people" who aren't the stereotypical unsafe, beerswilling, foul-mouthed rednecks but are respectful, safety conscious, southern gentlemen, goes a long way toward expanding the ranks of the gun-owner community with new members, customers, ... and voters.

Yes, we carpool...we had room for one more but it was a tight squeeze with all the gear...I will have to miss the July one but will go back in Aug for sure...

Gonna see if I can get away to shoot the one today at Shooters Depot...

Well that was a bust! They cancled and re scheduled it for July 15th??? Something about not getting the stuff from Glock in time? Not real sure what to make about that. Might need to check out Stoddards.
