I saw that Primary Arms has there Geissele SSA and SSA-E on sale. Any opinions on these two. I am building anew AR tack driver [I hope] and want to use a good trigger.
I've shot the Brownells exclusive version of the SSA-E and it was incredible. My LE6920 will be getting an SSA before too long. Good triggers for sure.
Any trigger they make is awesome. Out of those two you mentioned I would think the ssa-e would be the one you want for bench rest shooting, since it's a bit lighter, but they do make a dmr full adjustable trigger mainly for target shooting that might be worth a look. I have the sd3g in mine and it's pure fun on the range but not designed for super tight groups. It's built for speed!!!
The Geissele SSA is the only trigger I'll use in most any AR. I may try the SSA-E in a SPR build w/scope. I've bought them when on sale at Primary Arms, and to me they're absolutely worth it. I think they're running a 20% sale right now, which is a steal. If you can afford it, go for it!
The SSA is what you'll want in a defensive gun/battle rifle, and the SSA-E is good for a target shooting gun - this was info I got from Geissele.
Also, there are good YouTube videos from the founder of Geissele on how to install the triggers. With a little practice it isn't too difficult.
