I got tired of the country fried approach. A quick turn on the grill after a marinade of your choice is very tasty. The ones I have are fairly fragile and can't stand any more than one flip.
But that cheesesteak idea seems worth a try.

I've got a grate/tray that will handle it but I wasn't going to stand in the heat and rain (on Christmas Eve Eve) to try it.
Cheesesteak does sound decent or perhaps fajitas. I was hoping for a slow cooker (or at least minimal intervention) idea.

I take the cube steak an cut it into strips.
Then saute with onions, salt ,pepper & chili powder .
Put in warmed ,soft shells with cheese,sour cream and cilantro .
