curious if anyone has been to Iron Mountain Offroad park. My 5 and 8 year old want to take dad's truck "off roading" and while it's not a built crawler, it's a V8 4x4. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the money + day in a hotel in the area as we're 90+ minutes away. Would make it an adventure and see some falls and whatnot while we're in town, but looking to hear if it's reasonably worth the adventure.

They have cabins and campsites.
Also rent side-by-sides...save your truck for the return trip home.

cabins were more expensive than the local state park lodge, plus shared bathhouse. I have no problem but my 5 year old isn't gonna want to go out there at night to pee, nor do I want to go with him.

also SxS rentals are crazy expensive! Like $600 for the day. I'm not looking to get wild mudding, just hit some dirt roads and whatever. I imagine the trails I take are all passable in a minivan, but the kids will see it as an "offroad adventure"

Last time i went home i was going somewhere with my nephew, and he said he wanted to go "4 wheeling"... so i just put my truck in 4x4 and drove up a little hill in a field we were driving by.... he absolutely loved it lol.

I think they would be cool with that, but we're in Marietta. Not a lot of random fields or dirt roads to take. I don't know any WMAs to try either.

Went back in November with my Polaris and won't go back. Super rough/rutted trails that are poorly maintained and marked/unmarked with no map /app avail....Alot of poor reviews on their rentals and being scammed,Proceed with caution. 2/5 stars..read the reviews on the website.

I've done a good bit of off-road cycling around Nimbewill which is North of Iron Mountain, getting pretty busy in that area but still well worth the trip. Enjoy it.
