anybody been to Iron Mountain Resort/Off road park?

Iron Mountain intrigues me because they have dirt bikes for rent there, too.
But at $225 for a couple hours or $300 for a full day, it's a bit steep.
Still, I'd do it if my friend wanted to do it. He has the same 100cc dirt bike he owned 30+ years ago
when we were teenagers, but I don't think he should ride THAT. He's older and about 50 lbs. heavier, and 100cc was on the small side for him back then.
I'd have to rent at least a 250 myself.
I don’t think they rent dirt bikes, just UTV’s. But I have seen them host dealer events where you can test ride dirt bikes.
From what I’ve heard, the UTV’s are too expensive to rent, plus if you break it, you pay to fix it. They also charge you to come get you unstuck. It can turn into quite an expensive day!

@AmbiEncE thanks for this, we got back yesterday. The ride to the big turn around at the top was bumpy and fun. Going down the other side got hairy. There were a few sections I had to walk a line and then about half way we got to something impassable without more significant gear than we had. So I did a 37 point turn to go back the way we came.

Ended up pretty well stuck in one little section that I had to pop out of. A few dicey moments but I was in my daily, on street tires, with no armor or winch. I would advise anybody that wants to do this get yourselves ready for the idea that you will mess something up.

I didn't have another adult with me so no spotter, but the kids had a blast and I didn't break anything. A few pinstripes but that's just proof we had fun
Glad yall had fun and didn’t break anything. Nimblewill has a lot of “differential busters” and has become very rocky from erosion as you saw. That’s the reason I run skid plates on my Dana front and 9” rear. It sounds like hell when the rocks are scraping on them but it beats having a rock bust one open.

Another easy route is to take is FS42 that goes over Springer Mtn and then FS58 down along the Noontootla Creek by Three Forks/Long Creek Falls. It’s about 20 miles and can be done in a mini van but the scenery is nice along the creek, short hike to the falls and there are places to pull over and picnic or the kids to play in the creek.

Torn Torn
I had the following thoughts at various times:
Wish I bought skids
Wish I had sliders
Didn’t know all my parking alert sensors could go off at once
I’m going to die here
This is why guys lift and put real rubber on trucks
Tell my wife I love her
Holy **** I **** myself
Oh that’s not so bad
Checks owners manual for 4lo options
Screw it I’ll get out even if it totals the truck
I should have brought beer
Oh thank god it’s paved

😆😆😆😆😆You need to save that to show the kids when they’re older and can appreciate what you went through for them.👍🏻
