With hot water, around 125 degrees? Ive had a nest that Ive been procrastinating on dealing with but we’re having a yard party in a couple weeks and they need to go. Trouble is, the entry hole goes horizontal after a few inches in. No way to successfully dump gas. So I dumped close to 30-40 gallons of hot water. Never saw a single one exit the nest but I could hear some pissed off yellow jackets buzzing underground. Total run time was 15 mins roughly. Nest filled up with water after about 10 mins. Im thinking I won this battle... got another nest in the front yard I need to douse if this is successful.

2 stung me on Monday. 1 below my armpit on my side and one on the finger. Finger swelled up like hell and couldn’t curl it but finally about back to normal. Ran over nest while mowing and they let me know they were there.

Haven't tried that before but could work fine.

I use a gallon of insect killer I mix up in a pump sprayer. Insert the nozzle at night and cover the hole, while I fill it. Then quickly cover the hole with dirt so they can't exit. Worked on three nests that way. Just don't turn on any lights while your spraying or they can see you! I always wear dark clothing - without lights I am invisible to them.

Anaphylactic shock. I had them almost kill me. I don’t mess wit dem no mo. Have to carry around a dang injection now. that was 4 years ago. Had never had a reaction to a sting in 47 years.
Damn how many got you to send you into shock?

Had that happen to me - twice a few years ago. Got stung in the same place on my ankle within two weeks. It hurts.....
