Anybody in here drag race?

Bored and curious of anybody here drag races? Me and my son bracket race. But enjoy anything that goes fast. Feel free to post your combo and how fast it goes.

My 17yr old races a 1986 foxbody with a 351w flattops, hydraulic roller cam, aluminum heads and a c4, with 373 gears. Runs 6.90’s-7.0’s in the 1/8th depending on the weather.

I drive a 93 foxbody with a 408w with a glide. Mini tubbed with 29x12 tires and 373s it runs 6 teens in the 1/8th.

The last few are before and after pics of when we got them and where they are today.

That's moving! I'm looking at 302 engine options now. I have a 1975 f100 with a 302 5.0 efi from a 1986 f150 that the rods started knocking recently. I won't be drag racing, but I'm wondering about my options. Cheapest thing would be to buy a long block and swap everything. I could do that for about 3k in parts I think, but I will still only have a 190hp engine.

You should be able to get it rebuilt for less than $3k. 302’s are everywhere so you might be able to find a deal on one, I use marketplace a lot.

I did back in the 70s. Street car 1973 Nova SS built 327 with Muncie 4sp. One for the strip 1969 SS Chevelle built 396 with 4sp. Ran in the 11s. 2ne most fun thing I ever did.
