My Uncle used to cut pigs with a splash of rubbing alcohol and a few surgical strikes with a razor blade!
Once we let those pigs go they didn't stop running until they hit a fence.

Yep I have seen this "procedure" performed first hand. Razor and Crisco. A lot of squealing for a few minutes, then the hog calmed down and acted like nothing even happened. Weird stuff.
