Spider bite is the dirtiest bite you can get. Even worse than human. Will always get an additional bacterial cellulitis infection in addition to the necrotic reaction. Bad juju,. Glad you're getting treated.

Since I have recently retired from pharmacy, I have no access to anti-virals required for the gift that keeps on giving,. I'll pass. You keep Miley, I'll cozy up to the arachnid. Less danger............lol

Thanks everyone for their input both genuine and humorous. I was really indecisive about going to have it looked at. Just got back from er. They gave me some expensive assed medicine and told me see my Dr in two days and to come back to er if things start falling off.

I haven't been bitted by recluse but I have been bitted by a Black Widow. I like to died!

I was bitten on my left wrist by a Brown Recluse when I was 16, I'm now 58. The first thing that happened was my lymph node under my left arm pit swelled up to the size of a very large grapefruit. Then red strips ran up my arm and my arm turned hot, I had a fever so high the I felt as if I was hallucinating. We were living in Sneads Fla. at the time,so my Mom drove me to Marianna to the county hospital. They admitted me over night, you fell like you've been beat in your joints with a claw hammer. A circle ( dime size) around the bite was visable within 30 mins. The next day the circle became inflamed and the following day a chunck of meat fell out .it looked like a valcano had erupted. The doctor packed the hole with gauze that had anti boitics on it. It took every bit of 3 months for it to heal.and the worst part was I didn't receive any super powers out of the whole,ordeal.

My dad came 24 hrs from losing his leg from a bite in a motel. By the time he got to the doc, it had already started destroying his quad muscle. Get to the ER asap if you havent already. Especially being bitten on the head.
