Anyone bought a new Suburban layely?

GM has really transformed itself into a luxury family truck maker. Four guys in our hunting /fishing club have the BIG GMC trucks that I think are built on the same platform. They have reliability problems with them. The trucks look good and they have a nice ride. They are proving themselves to be a waste of money.

I have a few friends who have recently purchased Tahoe/Suburbans. Each of them have had a hard time finding the trucks their wives wanted and I dont think any of them have found anyone coming off of sticker. At this point you are doing good if you can buy it for MSRP without add ons etc. A lot of folks are buying with add ons of 10-15k

For some reason all the Lyft/Uber vehicles I rode in were Suburbans. And to top it off the Z71 trim. 4WD in Miami? 🤔
I can afford one and the gas, I just choose not to. They are extremely nice though, inside and out.

I like the older ones better. The new ones are awful expensive, but so is everything else
I’m pretty fond of the really old ones back when they were K-5 designated. This was mine several years back

My youngest son recently bought a new one, Within the first month, it shut down and shuttered to the point that they left it on the side of the road for the dealer to tow in. So far, it has spent about 3 weeks at the dealership because of a faulty injector and they couldn't source a replacement. I think he may still be driving a dealership paid for Enterprise rental because they did not have a vehicle to loan him. They really like the vehicle, which has plenty of room for the 3 kids and dog, but not feeling he made the right decision trading in a low mileage Expedition.
At 30 days in the shop. You can use Georgia’s lemon law to get a new one, or get them to repurchase yours.

The company recently traded into two 2023 Suburban 4wd's in High Country trim and air-ride suspension.

One has the 3.0L Duramax and other is the 6.2L gasser and getting solid 16mpg combined with 6.2L gasser and 24mpg combined the Duramax.

Located them by browsing Chevrolet.com -> Suburban -> search dealer inventory -> zip code -> search radius -> 2wd or 4wd, trim, color, options, powertrain -> enter... these weren't "special order" rather kept calling dealers every time something interesting popped up "in transit".

Chevy dealers are generally charging MSRP on Suburban gasser's, although some are charging over sticker for the one's with Duramax powertrain.

Similar to this^^^^^look out of state. Last year I bought my wife a new car. Dealers here wanted MSRP +4k to +6k. By going out of state, I towed a trailer 200 miles there and 200 back to get MSRP & saved 4k!

I ordered a Ram 3500 exactly how I wanted it for a 1000 over invoice. Saved about 9 grand from msrp... It took about 4 months to get it but well worth the wait.... I know this doesn't help you but hopefully you'll find a dealer who will give you the same deal!
