Anyone do any hydroponics, aquaponics, or alternate methods of growing food?

That is the two returns, the nutrient reservoir, and the submersible pond pump.
 
Hydroponics need not be expensive or complicated. You can get tremendous results with a 5 gallon bucket and a net pot. Raised beds and fabric bags are some of my favorite methods. Floating rafts are an excellent way to grow lettuce, chards, spinach, etc. I am a huge fan of coco coir and think it is hands down one of the best hydroponic substrates available.

Started a small setup with an AquaFarm. Very new to this and learning on the fly.


Anyone have any idea on what the black on the stem of the plant is?
