The 83 is an automatic turbo 350 transmission married to a np205. Same as a 3/4 ton 4x4 Chevrolet truck from the 80’s. Long list of aftermarket parts. Sweet driving Jeep, very happy with the way it has turned out.

i love this thing...stick shift?

I’ve owned only 3. My last one was a 1953 M38A1 (newest for me). Got into the original Ford Bronco’s in the mid 70’s. 4 over the years. Now I have a 1988 Toyota pickup 4x4, and 2001 Chevrolet 2500HD. Much less upkeep. Do not get approached with any free ducks.
