Anyone Else Place a Mail Order for M1 Carbine??

I would love to find one for those prices. Keep me in mind if you see any deals out there. I will keep an eye open at shows and pawn shops. Maybe I will get lucky soon!!!

I imagine that some of these CMP guns will hit the market soon on Gunbroker. I'm sure some guys got Inlands that didn't want another Inland...

You should place a WTB (Want to buy) ad on their forum asking for a shooter grade around $750. I did that once and a local guy helped me out. It was my first carbine.

FYI a lot to choose from, Inlands are the cheapest.

That's probably what I will do then. Nice chart! I know Inland's are more common but that's what I want because that's what Granddad had. Hopefully this will work out in my favor. I just hope I hang on to this cash for the time being. I sure want a 1911!!

Yea, hopefully next go around! There may still be a chance that my snail mail got in the Monday pile. If not, its ok... I will just get a Sig Scorpion 1911

One less mail order in front of youall I snagged one today at the store:

Left home 3:30am Eastern, got there 5am Easter/4am Central and was number 31 in line!
Mark Johnson came out at 7am and did the official count.
By the time doors opened they had about 100 people in line.
They let the lucky 35 in and the carbines were spread throughout the store.
By the time I got in I spied 3 on the rack and grabbed one.
Got an Underwood Service grade 1+ME 2 TE. Wanted an IBM but at least I got one.
At least it wasn't an Inland!
Saw the following:
Standard Products w flip sights
Quality Hardware w flip sights
Saginaw w flip sights
Winchester Bavarian
Nice touch CMP brought out Coffee and doughnuts.

I placed an order for one of the CMP M1 Carbines last Saturday too. Now that all of those are gone and there's no telling when any more will be available, what happens to our order? Do they just cancel it or hang on to my paperwork and credit card number in case some come in? It'd be great if they'd provide some answers on their website.
