Anyone have any .22 pistol advice for me?

SD532551.JPG Yes, suppression makes the guns run dirty and wear out quicker.
Yes, the Ruger MK series guns are an absolute PITA to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning. Even if you do it "right" the new ones are very stiff and unforgiving of the slightest misalignment of the parts.
Avoid cheap alloy-frame guns. I had a Walther P22 that was showing significant wear on the frame rails after only 1500 rounds through it, only half (or less) of those suppressed.

I ended up with a Browning Buck Mark for my good quality open-sighted .22 plinker, casual target gun, and host for my .22LR silencer.
At the time I set up mine, factory threaded barrels weren't available, but now they are. I'd go with that, rather than an aftermarket barrel or having one threaded by a gunsmith.
A Buck Mark is more expensive than most other .22 semi-autos, around $400 new, and I think they only come with one magazine (add $30 for a spare mag).
But the trigger pull is excellent on them.
They're easy to clean without disassembling them, and not hard to take down either, with just one screwdriver (for the grips) and one allen wrench (for the barrel).

I have a 22/45, Buckmark, and S&W Model 41. All three have threaded barrels and are shot exclusively with an Isis22 suppressor. All three are a blast to shoot, and rock solid dependable.

The 22/45 has more after-market parts available.
The Buckmark shoots great straight out of the box.
The Model 41 is perfection...

I'm a big fan of the Buck Mark / TacSol combo myself. Can beat it for the money. Don't need to spend money to have a great trigger - google 'heggis flip' for the instructions on a 5-minute improvement.

Beretta 87's are nice too...

My sr22 is flawless with the supressor, never had a FTF or FTE
My 22/45 is almost as good just needs some upgrades to perfect it.
Just bought a colt/walther 1911-22 gold cup and was pretty sure I would have ammo problems with it but haven't yet and I've put all kinds thru it.

M&P22 compact here. I bought it brand new and it was a jam-o-matic straight out of the box. I was very disappointed because I had read great reviews on it before I bought one. I used my dremel with a soft wheel and some metal polish to put a mirror shine on the feed ramp. It ran pretty good after that.

It runs flawlessly when I use my Silencerco Sparrow on it. I don't know if it's the extra back pressure or what, but it definitely runs better suppressed.

Also, if you buy a thread adapter for it, be SURE it says it's specifically for the M&P Compact, because it has different threads than the full size M&P22 pistol

In semi auto 22's I have a browning buckmark, a Ruger MK III, and 2 Beretta neos, none are suppressed however. they all run just as well as the other, accuracy may be a tad better with the buckmark and ruger but you really wouldn't want me shooting at you if you were a squirrel with any of the 4.
they all run off the same stuff fine, the neos seem to have fewer failure to fire (rim fire ammo you know) but that could likely be the 22 pound firing pins in them , they got some big old heavy firing pins.
