Anyone have any experience with "The Georgia Traverse?"

You know my Jeep. I likely wouldn't try this without significant mods, including skid plates...
From everything I've read, it's a fairly mild trail in terms of rocks and actually off roading. Do you know something I don't?

In other news, I ran across an article from some guys who have done. Link here if others are interested. They claim that there is a 30" water crossing. That's, uh....that's pretty deep. Anybody out there that can confirm?

Go in the dry summer time. The water will be at it's lowest

Well, from what I gather 30" is the lowest it will be. I measured the Jeep tonight and I'm tall enough to make it but will probably get water in the floor. 30" is about the door jam, but well below the air intake or anything I'd worry about getting submerged for a few seconds.

I'd hate to get water inside. But it shouldn't hurt anything. We've had a lot of rain this year. I'd say this isn't the year to do it

If you have a vent tube on your diff make sure it’s at least up to the top of the wheel well or put a breather kit on it so water doesn’t get in.

P.S.-
I've used onyx and BCN for years and i've never had a failure to pick up a signal in the mtns., even in deep wooded wilderness with no cell signal.
I think the cell phone apps are way more reliable than handheld standalone units...
That’s just saved me some money. I’ve been using the phone but was thinking about a dedicated unit this season.
