anyone have experience with bead balanced tires?

i dont have a tire machine so i wanted to hear from you guys
before i hand mounted a set. i can get my bro to do it,but
i dont want to bother him with dinky **** (save the favors
for something important),and dont like the nickel and dime
fees at tire shops. i would rather buy tires second hand
and if this way of balancing works,that would be great
