Anyone "never" buy new?

I bought a new Marlin model 39 in 1979. Since then I have not bought a new firearm.
I admit, I just love C&R firearms, so it makes it kind of easy for me.

I'm curious: Can anyone else beat this (almost clean) record? Either by being 100% "used" or > 33 years since purchasing new?

Never bought a new gun! Do the have the same smell as a new car? I only buy used from individuals, no taxes.

Cant beat that record but I was born in 1979. I have bought maybe 20 new. Still have the first one I bought new though. Gen 2.5 G27. The rest fell in a lake after a boating accident.

Not anywhere near that record, but my new gun purchases are very few and far between. It's not a hard and fast rule, just how it works out.

I've bought new maybe three times, all rifles and shotguns when I was 18. Since then I've always purchased used FTF- as others point out, no taxes.

I buy new when cherokee gun.can offer prices better tham used on here. My ruger 22/45, sr22, pf9, lc9 all came from them because they were give or take $30 bucks cheaper than the best deal i could find here. Otherwise, yeah i prefer to buy used if the price reflects it.

I try not too. I like saving money by buying used. Sometimes I just gotta have something and I don't feel like waiting for a used one to pop up. I took a break for a while from buying new but I had to have an hk mp5 22. So I bought it new. Been a while other than that one.
