I hear ya. I like the idea of a back up to glass. I'm gonna put togeather a coyote gun and was thinking of a scout type set up incase they get in close before i get a good shot. Thanks!
Heck just buy a used 110 in whatever flavor you want. The older ones are very modular and swapping parts around including barrels is nearly like playing with Legos. IThis one started out as a left handed wood stocked blind mag .243. (model 11gl)
Now its a shortened up (37" overall) synthetic stocked, detachable box mag .308
The Axis stock design wont even let you shorten it up without a complete butcher job because of the way it's built. The plastic mag release on the axis is just a problem waiting to happen as well. If you want however you can swap an Axis barrel onto a 110 just be careful not to chip the crappy finish on the Axis barrel.
