The Apex trigger kit for the Shield seems like a bunch of money compared to the cost of the handgun. Is the difference really worth it?

Apex trigger kit for S&W Shield 9mm - Worth it?

I installed the Apex sear and left the springs as they were. I really like my current set up and shoot it well.
I had the full apex (aluminum trigger & spring/sear) kit installed. It was about $160 plus installation fees. Worth. Every. Penny.

What I notice is about 1/2 inch of take up, and then moderate resistance through anothe 1/4 inch or so with a pretty predictable break, I get back into frame quickly with only 6-8 inches of muzzle travel. And that was only the first three mags through... If you don't mind sharing, what does the Apex trigger improve upon?
The trigger is solid with a Glock like finger safety. I didn't care for the factory hinged trigger.
