**APPENDIX CARRY??

The one draw back for me at the moment is lack of concealability with the sidecar. It pokes out more than i would like. Perhaps my clothing is too form fitting? I am a lean 160. 6ft tall. Behind the hip with my hybrid hides great.

i did find this pick and you can clearly tell some of these guys are carrying with a sidecar rig so maybe thats just the way it is...

I find that some shirts do print a bit more than others. I wear fitted shirts most of the time, but have found really tightening my belt to bring it in snug helps a lot. Also, rotating the belt buckle to your hip Instead of in the front helps reduce some bulk at the front.

Workout dry fit clothing prints a lot worse than cotton I have found.

Hope this helps!

I don't like the idea of having a loaded pistol pointing at my pride and joy. Losing an ass cheek is one thing but your pecker is something else.

I am fairly fat(5'10" 270lbs) and still find appendix carry to be the way to go. The key to fat boy appendix carry is to have your belt a lot looser than you do when you carry strong side. It lets the gun and holster move up and down a little and is comfortable.

Appendix carry for me is much better at keeping my gun concealed. When I carry strong side IWB my shirt tends to ride up over my gun when I sit down and stand up and I feel like I'm always having to mess with my shirt to make sure I'm still concealed. I don't have that problem carrying appendix.

The only downside to most appendix holsters is I haven't found a good tuckable option yet. I have to tuck my shirt in at work, and it would not be good to be caught with a gun at work. I feel like even with a tuckable holster, the exposed belt clips would be noticeable. So usually it's pocket carry or nothing at work.

Try one with the RCS claw/clip design. Mine from M3tactical Kydex is easily tuckable.

To lazy to read 4 pages of post so if someonehas already this... get over it,

I generally appendix carry. Probably 80% of the time. Usually with an all kydex IWB, and a lot of time it's a Gearcraft. mostly single clip with spare mag in seperate holster on left side of buckle. If I have to have my shirt tucked I'll carry at 4 O'clock with an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0. So what I've learned...

When sitting simply pull your pants up closer to your naval. This makes all the difference in the world with regards to comfort. Especially when driving.

With regards to driving, be sure to pull your shirt and lap belt in between the grip and your stomach. Last thing you want to do is get all tangled up in the seatbelt as your threat is about to strike. IMO most effective way to carry in your vehicle.

I can carry a G43, PPS , shield or similar single stack undetectable appendix style, comfortably with minimal weight and the mags with +2's still fit easily in a pocket if a spare holster isn't for you.

I often hear that. With a proper holster with triggerguard, that should not be an issue. Although you do have to NOT be careless drawing and reholstering pistol.

Thats the part the worries me.:becky:

Haha i guess its kinda like some people that cannot get pass the mental block of carry with a chambered round because of the "what if" factor. If you practice safe handling, a chambered round is fine (and recommended). I feel the same with appendix. Once ya get over the mental block of "i might shoot my wee wee off", you are good to go as it is much more accessible and quicker to draw.
