Ar 10 question

So, I have a decent Remington 700 SPS in 308 and a DD AR15. I came to the conclusion after shooting the AR that I want one in 308 for a LR. However, because of the astronomical price of the nice ones that are already built, the issue is my wife would flip out if I dump 2500 all at once so.... heres my question, ever seen lowers and uppers sold seperately? I think if I bought just a complete lower then I sold the Remi and bought the AR10 upper it would be an easier financial pill to swallow. Then buy a sweet stock and glass. Suggestions? Also all purchased off of ODT too. Thank you for you help.

I have, but honestly they're ridiculous to build. The upper lower sets I've seen were around $ 600 I think. Mega makes an ar10 set im pretty sure

DPMS Oracle can found for $900 +/- You can get an AP4 a little more. New Gen II Recons are $1300 +/- Doing it like Johnny Cash "one piece at a time" makes it seem easier or cheaper, but it ain't.
