Does it work even though the stock is all the way in, or is that as far in as that stock will go?

Now thats a search that would put me to sleep! If u drop ur rifle on the grip or stock the chances of them breaking off are not that great. I need to look up videos of people dropping their rifles on the flipped up plastic sights and see how they hold up.

They are called "IRONS" for a reason. The only MBUS I own came on my M&P 15/22. I think I've seen a drop test video somewhere. If I recall, the spring loaded design actually helps protect the sight in this case, allowing it to "give" upon impact. They hold up pretty well. With that being said, all my ARs have steel buis because that's how I roll! 😀

/\ Thanks for this. I was about to drop some change on the troy buis. I think I'll save some money and buy the Magpul.
Or, wait until DSG puts the MBUS Pro on sale again for $125. Best deal around for an all steel, well designed and super low profile BUIS.
