AR - 15 or Ruger mini??

Both are good guns. Have had a bunch of AR's, and now have 2 Mini 14's that function flawlessly. Have an AR-180b to keep things balanced. Sold my DPMS Panther Bull at the height of the feeding frenzy for enough cash to buy the 2 Mini's and a bunch of ammo. Since I'm not much into add on bits and pieces the Mini suits me. Uncle Sammy started me on the M-14 and I still like the design. Call me old fashioned, but well armed.

very cool

Since we have had the AK - 47 vs. Ar - 15 argument, thought I would throw this in the mix. I have a Mini 14 that I love. Any other mini fans out there??

I'm a fan of the Mini's.....got one in 5.56 and 7.62! Both great weapons. My Mini 14 is a 188 series with the 1:7 barrel and it shoots great. It's more reliable than either of my two AR's as well. I've got an AK too, so as you can tell, I'm not prejudice!
Truth be told......I would take any of the five into battle and probably will if "it" happens in my lifetime.

Very cool, except for that angled buttstock. But, I've never tried one with a buttstock like that. It just looks strange to me. I have a Mini-14 GB model and love it, my Dad left it to me when he passed along with an Underwood M-1 carbine dated 1943. I also have a Bushmaster M4 Patrolman's carbine, never had a minutes trouble with either one so I like em' both. When I went to Riverside Military Academy 71-73, we had M-14's we carried on marches and for parades every Sunday so I have a softspot for the Mini-14. But I like em' with a standard type stock. Mine has the wood stock. :boink:
